In order to co-create an inclusive region where diversity is respected, embraced, and celebrated, there must be willingness to accept and own our own inner work first as to avoid projecting our shadow work onto others.

Seek with a compassionate heart and empathic understanding.
Each and every one in our community holds valuable truth. Collective healing will not and cannot occur without revealing and facing the hard and painful parts of our past. Apologize for mistakes, and recognize progress comes from courageously and imperfectly showing up again and again.

Respect all lived experiences.
None of us know the full history and story of another. Act from an intentional place of connection and respect boundaries.

Remain open minded and know there is constantly new knowledge to be gained.
Growth occurs in the uncomfortable moments. Approach learning and educational opportunities with humility and curiosity.
